    PART 3: Friendship

Do you think friends are important?

Yes, definitely yes. Friends play a crucial role in personal life. With friends, we can share similar interests, exchange thoughts and share mirth and sorrow. Without friends, life would be tedious/ dull.

Do you prefer to have one or two close friends or a wide circle of friends?

Well, I would rather have a lot of friends simply because I’m such an extrovert man. I hardly ever put down any offers to go out and have a date with friends to share our common hobbies.

What is the difference between a close friend and an acquaintance?

There are several disparities between a close friend and an acquaintance. The idea of a best friend is as a saying goes that “a friend in need is a friend indeed”. They always stand by me and are willing to give me a hand when I come across bottlenecks in life. On the other hand, an acquaintance is only someone we know and exchange greetings when we meet each other.

Do children and adults make friends in the same way?

No, absolutely no, children’s friendships are naive and intense and are often formed around a similar enjoyment. However, on the contrary, when we get older, we tend to be more wary of other people and make friends for a particular purpose.

How is the way people make friends today different from the way people makes years ago?

There are several disparities between the way we get friends nowadays and in the past. In the olden day, people used to spend most of their time doing household chores, so they had a few friends, most of them are neighbors. However, nowadays, due to the Internet booming, people find it easy to make friends with people all around the world.

Do you think it is easier to make friends today than it used to be?

Well, in one sense, yes. Due to the Internet booming, people find it easy to make friends with people from every corner of the world. On the contrary, however, due to the hustle and bustle of city life, people seem to have little time for friends.
