    Topic 1: Internet

How important is the internet to you?

The internet plays a profound impact on my ordinary life. It helps me a lot in working, researching, studying and entertainment. Sometimes I wonder how might I live without it.

How often do you use the internet?

I use the Internet constantly every day. My day starts with checking my emails after waking up and I use it for work all day. Whenever I feel tired, the Internet brings me to its wonderful world of entertainment with plentiful sources of music, videos and books.

Do you use it for work or in your free time?

As I said before, half of my job involves researching and writing on the Internet, so I would use it for about 4 hours a day. After a working day, I feel too tired to continue using it, therefore, I let it automatically download a movie or music for my use in the evening.

Are there any negative things about the Internet?

Besides a lot of good things, Internet also contains many drawbacks. With internet, we can connect to a lot of websites. However, how can we make sure that our computers are safe from viruses or hackers while surfing unfamiliar and untrusted sites.

    Topic 2: Transportation

Do you like to travel by bus?

No, actually, on the bus, it’s difficult to relax and look out the window because it is always jam-packed. Furthermore, buses are often delayed or late which can ruin my journey.

Where do you usually go by train and by bus?

It’s usually on long trips across the country if I want to visit friends or I have an appointment somewhere. For short journeys around where I live or to work, it’s much easier to drive or take the bus.

When was the last time you travelled by train?

I’m not quite sure, let me think. It was a while ago now. I think the last time was last year I went up to see friends I had not seen for a while in the north of the country.
