The table illustrates the proportion/rate/percentage of four water pollutants in four large cities in 2020. [Crack IELTS with Rob] Generally speaking, domestic sewage was the main factor causing pollution in the four listed countries/cities.

In particular,/particularly,/specifically,/to specify, the highest rate of pollution was caused by domestic sewage, at 65 percent in Sao Paulo, followed by 50 percent in Taipei. [Crack IELTS with Rob] The third position belonged to New York, at 41 percent and the least rate of pollution was 23 percent in Tokyo. As for Pesticides, Tokyo (31 percent) and Taipei (28 percent) were quite close to each other and the two other cities, New York and Sao Paolo have 13 percent and 9 percent of pollution, respectively.

Erosion was the next pollutant and in this area, Tokyo (23 percent) and Sao Paulo (20 percent) were relatively similar. It is interesting to note that both New York and Taipei had the exact same percentage of erosion pollution, at 12 percent.
