Well, today I would like to tell you about a polluted place that you knew is Beijing.

I went there for the 2008 Olympic Game. I had free tickets from my friend as a gift and I was thrilled because I’d never watched live Olympic game before, but I was put off by Beijing’s thick air pollution and unbearable heavy traffic.

A decade ago, people hardly ever saw a blue sky, as it was usually grey. There were even occasional sand storms that turned the sky yellow.

Such pollution problems illustrate the need for integrated solutions:

    - First and foremost, they should reduce the number of cars running within the city, since cars are major contributors to local air pollution.

    - Besides, the production from close-by factories should be supervised to minimize the harmful and environmental effects of industrial operation.

From all above mentioned reasons, when it comes to a polluted place, Beijing always pops up in my mind.
