Do you give gift to people?
More often than not, I carefully pick a gift for my beloved on special occasions/ events. [Crack IELTS with Rob]
(I tend to pick some special souvenir when I pay a visit to beautiful destinations)
What was the last gift you received?
Last birthday, I was so on the cloud nine/ over the moon when receiving a present from my beloved. It was a leather jacket which I had laid my eyes on long ago.
What considering a present to give to someone. How do you select it?
As a saying goes that it’s the thought that count for me, it doesn’t matter how little the gift costs, what important is the feeling of thoughtfulness that a giver is expressing.
When do people in your country give gift?
Generally speaking, people in my country pick a gift for the relatives or their beloved people on some special occasions or a token of appreciation (a way to say thank you).
What are some giving gift customs in your country?
I don’t reckon there is a gift custom in my country, especially on special occasions or holidays. It’s just a way to let the family and friends know that we care about them.
Topic 2: Housework
Do you usually do any housework?
No, honestly no, I’m the only child in my family hence the household chores fall on the shoulder of my mom.
What housework do you least like doing?
Washing dishes is not my cup of tea because after finishing the meal, I just want to go to bed and do nothing. [Crack IELTS with Rob]
Where you were a child, did you do any housework?
When I was very little, my parents taught me to do homework because they thought it was beneficial for the all-rounded development of children in general.
Who usually does the housework in your home?
My mom is in charge of household chores. However, I have a chance I would give her a hand to ease her burden.
Do you think it’s important for children to do some housework?
Yes, absolutely yes, it’s indispensable to do some housework because it’s a brilliant way to develop children comprehensively, in particular, enhancing their lasting responsibility and self-reliance. [Crack IELTS with Rob]
