  Topic: Wedding

  Have you ever been to a wedding celebration?

  Yes, I have many chances to attend many celebrations of my besties. [Crack IELTS with Rob]  All of them, give me a glimpse into the lives of the honored couple, and let us walk away feeling that we have had a unique experience and were part of something special.

   

  Why do many people spend a lot of money on wedding celebrations?

  In my opinion, it is a big day for both the groom and bride. Throwing a party could be lavish but it is a brilliant way to tighten the gap/ bridge the gap and break the ice between the two families. Hence, with such an occasion, it is worth every penny.

   

  Can you think any other important family events in your country besides weddings?

  There are a variety of occasions for family reunion in my country. But New Year is among the most usual event for strengthening the bond among family members. [Crack IELTS with Rob] This is the time that the younger present their love and honor the dedication of the elderly.

   

  Do you like family reunion?

  Personally, family is always on top of my priority, so I am really into having a dinner with hotpot and talks in order to tighten family’s bond, especially with the distant relatives.

   

  In general, how important are special family events compared with public events?

  Family events play a crucial role in life. This is the most beautiful thing in our cultural identity. [Crack IELTS with Rob] Unlike Western culture, citizen in my country appreciates the dedication of silver tsunami because they have sacrificed their lives to look after their offspring.

   

  Do you think society as a whole has a responsibility for maintaining the strength of the institution of the family?

  Family is the original cell of the society, hence, society has responsibility for balancing the health of the family. However, in order to nourish the growth of the family, every single member must shoulder the responsibility to nurture that invisible thread.
